My skin type: I have sensitive skin that is dry during the Winter, but tends to be combination during the Summer. My skin is pretty much clear with the odd break out every now and then. The only thing I suffer from are blackheads which in my experience, are a pain to get rid of.

Application: I have been using the Skin Action Sebum Gel for just over a month now, morning and evening, massaging little than half a pump on my nose just before moisturizing and I think it is finally safe to say that I have seen visible results which I am totally ecstatic about. Cellnique describes the sensation of the Skin Action Sebum Gel as 'cooling and refreshing' - I, however, found that the first couple of applications, the gel didn't feel 'cooling and refreshing' but quite stingy and painful, I'm putting this down to the menthol in the product. Nevertheless, the painful sensation eventually disappeared and now I don't feel anything at all, which is a bonus.

Experience: Cellnique claim that the Skin Action Sebum Gel will 'produce smooth visible results within 10 days of application' but in my experience, I didn't see results until the second week of continuous use in the morning and evening - I guess this could vary with everyone as everyone doesn't have the same skin. So now that it has been over a month, I've noticed that the majority of my blackheads are virtually gone. There are, however, the odd couple of small ones still lurking about but they aren't noticeable at all.
I would have taken a before and after photo, but in all honesty, I'm just not comfortable taking an up-close shot of my nose, I hope you all understand xD. I must also mention that I don't suffer from white heads so I can't comment on the effectiveness of how the gel would work in that situation, my review is based on how the gel performs on blackheads.

Colour, consistency and scent: The Skin Action Sebum Gel has a thick gel consistency and appears clear and transparent to me. Even though it is thick, it absorbs easily into the skin, leaving no residue but a matte finish that ever-so-slightly feels tacky.

Packaging: The Skin Action Sebum Gel comes in a white pump-applicator bottle which is hygienic. My only gripe is that it is hard to dispense how much you actually want from the bottle because the pump is rather stiff if you know what I mean?

Recommendation and re-purchase: I would recommend and definitely re-purchase this product. It is amazing at getting rid of blackheads and keeping them at bay.

Price: $51 for 30ml - Very reasonable for an effective blackhead treatment. Click here to buy.
